I often see the following error message in the alert.log file of an Oracle10gR2 database for Linux:
>>> ERROR IN KQLMBIVG SEE LCK TRACE FILE <<<
According to Oracle Metalink Note 4690794.8, this issue is fixed on patch set 10.2.0.3.
